Nestled among the sycamore and live oak trees in the heart of Austin, Other Racquet Social Club is a cozy and accessible place to play pickleball any time of year. Each court comes complete with shaded cabanas equipped with TVs, misters to beat the summer heat, and heaters to keep the winter chill at bay.

Matt Wolski owns Other Racquet Club on Manor Road. The facility opened in September and features three courts and cabanas, as well as amenities such as a cold plunge pool and food trucks. Other features such as a full-service bar and dining room are still under construction.

“We wanted to create something that doesn’t quite exist yet in Austin,” said Matt Wolski of Pursuit Concepts in a press release. “Instead of retrofitting an existing space for the concept, we have had the unique opportunity to design the entire space from the court out. This allowed us to focus on both optimal pickleball play and draw on a bit of nostalgia for the classic country club experience.”
